At least eighty Welsh supporters have been denied entry into Qatar, meaning they will miss today’s play.
A ‘glitch in the system’ at Dubai airport has prevented authorities from accepting their Hayya cards, which function as Qatar visas.
BBC Radio Wales reported that at Dubai airport this morning, 78 Welsh supporters were denied entry and would miss the match in Qatar.

During the World Cup, many supporters stayed in neighboring countries such as Dubai owing to Qatar’s alcohol restrictions and the high cost of lodging in Doha.
Having traveled to Qatar on shuttle flights, a lot of Welsh supporters were caught off guard by a ‘glitch in the system’ that rendered their Hayya cards ‘pending’.
